We understand that change can bring questions, so we’ve created these FAQs to guide you through what’s happening, when it’s happening and what it means for you. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, transparent transition, giving you all the information you need to continue using your solution without any disruption.
What influenced the decision to make this change?
Ideagen solutions provide customers with the clarity and confidence you need to put resilience in action. For us, this starts with our solution naming conventions.
Independent research conducted with customers, colleagues and stakeholders revealed customers wanted names that represented our product's role, purpose and vision. So, we’re changing the name to bring more in line with that ethos.
When will the name change take effect?
You’ll receive communications letting you know when the transition to your product’s new name will take place. After this date, the new name will appear in all communications, interfaces and resources. There will be some places where you’ll still see the heritage name for a while, as some things take a little longer to update, but we’re working to get everything done as quickly as possible.
Will the name change impact on the product features or performance?
No, the product’s features, performance and quality will stay exactly the same. This is purely a change to the name to bring your solution in line with other Ideagen products.
Do I need to do anything during this transition?
If your updates usually happen automatically, then no action is required on your part. The change will happen seamlessly, and we will continue to keep you informed along the way to ensure there’s no disruption to your experience.
If you usually perform a manual update, you’ll need to do this in order to see the changes.
How can I find the edition name of the product I’m using?
One of the quickest ways for us to help you and make sure you have the support you need is by knowing which edition of the software you're using. Here’s how to find it:
- Open your product
- Go to the ‘About’ or ‘Version’ section in your menu or application settings
- The edition name will be clearly displayed there
How does this change benefit customers?
Our research guided this decision to make the product names clearer and easier to understand, helping you quickly identify and connect with the solutions you need. With the new product names, we can also better communicate the value we provide, making it simpler for you to see the benefits of the product at a glance.
What about my subscription, billing or account details?
These will not be affected by the name change. Your contract, billing and account information will continue unchanged but might in coming months show the new name and edition you use.
Where can I find more detailed information about this change?

Will tools like help pages and community forums change?
Yes, the new solution name will be reflected in all our support resources. They’ll still provide the same valuable guidance and community support under the updated branding.
How will I stay updated on this transition?
Look out for emails, in-product notifications, updates on our website and posts on social media to stay up-to-date.
Does this name change indicate other updates to the product?
Although the name change doesn’t directly introduce new features, it reflects our broader commitment to innovation and delivering solutions that meet your evolving needs.
Will any of the URLs I use to access the product change?
URLs won’t change, so existing links and guidance on how to access your portal don’t need to be updated. You’ll also still be able to search in the Ideagen Luminate customer portal and App stores for legacy names for at least the next 18 months. We’re proud of our heritage, it’s not disappearing immediately.
