Powered by Mazlan, Hub's AI layer, the Regulatory Intelligence widget uses Ideagen's proprietary regulatory knowledge base to provide compliance information for your industry. You can ask Mazlan questions in everyday language, and it will find the answers for you without needing any special search terms.
This article explains how to use the widget.
1. Using the widget
You can find Mazlan on the right side of the home page.
To use the widget:
- Enter your query or click on one of the suggested questions.
For example, "What can Mazlan help me with?"
- Mazlan will guide you to provide further context as required.
- Enter your response in the text box.
- Click Send.

After Mazlan responds, you can click:
- Copy Mazlan's response to add the response to your clipboard
- Rate the response to give feedback
- Sources to review the references that support the answers to your query
- If you selected Sources, you can click Back to navigate to the previous screen and continue exploring with Mazlan.
5. Advanced usage
Mazlan can go further. Here are some examples of more advanced usage.
5.1 Switching from regional to global context
By default, Mazlan recognizes your current location and provides answers based on your regional context. However, you have the option to switch to a global context, allowing Mazlan to respond based on sources beyond your current region.
5.2. Scenario-based queries
For a more advanced use, try describing a workplace incident in plain language rather than querying regulations directly. You can describe what happened and let Mazlan surface the relevant compliance obligations for you.
With Mazlan embedded in Hub, regulatory intelligence becomes part of your everyday workflow, not a separate step.
