This release introduces several enhancements and new capabilities designed to improve user experience and integrations across Ideagen solutions.
1. Features
Cascade logout
When a user logs out of Ideagen Hub, they are automatically logged out of all integrated Ideagen apps. When a user logs out of an integrated Ideagen app, they are automatically logged out of Hub and all other integrated Ideagen apps. This terminates the session across the entire platform for enhanced security (Requires compatible apps).
User-defined quick actions (Beta)
Users can create custom Quick Actions where they can specify fixed links to publicly accessible websites. Support for deep linking to specific areas within integrated applications is planned for a future release. (This feature can be enabled upon request for your organization).
External IDP configuration interface enhancements
The SSO External IDP configuration interface now displays all required SAML/OIDC parameters (e.g. Entity ID, ACS URL, Redirect URI) in a single view for easier IdP setup without requiring a call to support. There is also a new metadata upload option for the SAML configuration to cater for organizations and IDPs that cannot provide a metadata URL.
User type conversion via CSV import
Administrators can now convert users between Internal and External authentication type using the User Management CSV Import tool. This update means the Hub account will be maintained for maintaining seamless SSO access across all integrated Ideagen solutions instead of having a new account created when they switch between using a direct login via email/password and SSO via an External IDP.
Enhanced password reset process
As a security enhancement, welcome emails now include a password reset link instead of a temporary password.
