Navigating Hub notifications

Users looking to understand their notifications.
No special access or permissions are required.
There are several different types of notifications that appear throughout Ideagen Hub to help you efficiently view, manage, and interact with the apps to complete your workflows.
This article shows you where you can check, sort, and manage notifications.
1. Accessing notifications
There are several areas within Ideagen Hub that house notifications.
Clicking one of the following areas opens a side drawer on the right, displaying a detailed list of notifications:
- Bell icon (All notifications)
- Action required
- Recent updates
2. Navigating notifications
2.1 All notifications
To view notifications of all types, click the Bell icon.
This opens a right-side drawer with three tabs:
- All - Shows both Action required and Recently updated items
- Action required - Shows action required items
- Recent updates - Shows recently updated items
2.2 Action required
To view notifications of this type, click the Action required widget on the Home page or select the tab in the Notifications side drawer.
This will open a right-side drawer with the correct tab already selected.
This list displays:
- Notifications labelled as Task
You can click the description to see full item details. - Tasks that are overdue or due within 30 days
Overdue tasks are Priority Items; others fall under Everything else.
- Due date
- Status based on due date
- Link to the relevant app to complete the task
You can Flag items to move them to priority or Unflag them to return them to Everything else.
Completed items are deleted automatically. You can delete items manually, but note that deleted items cannot be restored.
2.3 Recent updates
To view notifications of this type, click the Recent updates widget on the Home page or select the tab in the Notifications side drawer.
This will open a right-side drawer with the correct tab already selected.
This list displays:
- Notifications labelled as Notification
These are informational notifications without a due date. You can click the description to see full item details. - Tasks that are overdue or due within 30 days
Overdue tasks are Priority Items; others fall under Everything else. - Creation date
Notifications are kept for 30 days before automatic deletion. - Link to the relevant app for more details
You can Flag items to move them to priority or Unflag them to return them to Everything else.
You can delete items manually, but note that deleted items cannot be restored.
3. Filtering notifications
Using the search function and knowing the default sort order can make it simpler to manage your notifications when viewing them all.
3.1. Search
Use the Search box to filter notifications by title.
3.2. Sort
The default sort behaviour is:
- Action required items are sorted by due date, with overdue items first, then upcoming ones.
- Recent updates are sorted by notification date, showing the earliest first.
